Number four is the beautifully annoying Moscato d’ Asti! Moscato is a pure bred Ragdoll bred in Atlanta, Georgia, USA by Pinkerton Ragdolls. He will be six years old this October, and is a mink coated Ragdoll, with striking aqua coloured eyes rather than the more typical dark pointed, bright blue eyed cats most people think of when they imagine this breed.
Moscato is an interesting character. For one thing, he’s the most vocal animal I’ve ever come across, and that’s saying something considering the variety of animals that I have. To say that he likes to chat is an understatement. Moscato talks when he’s hungry, when he’s thirsty, when he’s tired, when he wakes up and before he goes to sleep, when he’s happy, when he’s sad or pissed off, when he wants cuddles and when he doesn’t. He screams when he’s stressed and when he’s really mad, and sometimes just because he likes to. He’s the kind of cat most people either love or hate. He drives me crazy, and I love him more than I can express.
He’s not all talk and no action. Moscato loves to snuggle, and will sit happily for hours upon hours of grooming. He’s a world class spooner, and the first to cheer me up when I’m down. He’s Sami’s best friend, and usually the first to kick off playtime with the kittens. When you get past the unusual amount of vocals, he’s the sweetest, most lovable cat I have, and my life wouldn’t be complete without him.
